District residents are advised to create a hurricane kit, a checklist to secure their property, and an evacuation plan for their household using one or more of the following resources.

What to expect within your community in preparation for a hurricane:
- POA/HOA Managers are responsible for closing amenity centers, pools, and outdoor areas and securing vehicle gates, furniture, fabric awnings and loose objects until it is deemed safe to reopen and operate on normal schedules.
- Community builders are responsible for removing debris, sock drains, and trash and securing construction sites. POA/HOA Managers have contact information for their community builders should there be additional requests.
What to expect within your community after a hurricane:
- CDD vendors will be on-site to assess storm damage when it is safe to do so, recovery procedures will take place in accordance with maintenance or pre-authorized storm clean-up agreements.
- District's Field or Amenity Manager will liaise with vendors and confirm appropriate follow up on field requests submitted by residents.
- District staff will work with appropriate professionals to assess any damage to the District's infrastructure and obtain quotes for the CDD Board to consider.
- District Manager will work with the District's insurance provider to submit claims for storm damaged infrastructure once damage is assessed.
